The Potawatomi Zoo hosted West Noble Middle School's EL students Tuesday. Time away from the classroom, the group got to see the entirety of the displays, and also some hands-on exhibits like turtles and wild birds.

Don't forget, Turning Point's coffee trailer will be at the West Noble High School parking lot tomorrow morning! Start your Tuesday off right!

West Noble's volleyball program are excited for its upcoming seasons, and started the buzz with its youth camps this week at West Noble Middle School. Girls in grades 2-8, a total of 85 campers, were led by nearly two dozen coaches and high school players in a week's worth of energy, team building, skills improvements and momentum for one of the budding programs at West Noble!

The final week of school is already exciting, and now it's going to get better! Next Tuesday, Turning Point's coffee trailer will be set up on the West Noble High School campus to serve drinks to students and staff! After a pair of successful stops in the Ligonier community in recent weeks, the coffee trailer will now be brought to campus for the Chargers to enjoy!
Turning Point Coffee Company is the crown jewel of Turning Point's outreach mission, not just providing a premier coffee experience, but also giving back to individuals and organizations in need.

It's graduation season and West Noble Elementary celebrated it's three students from Mrs. Nelson's class who are moving to the middle school next year. A room full of supporters saw Valentin Calderon, Dimitri Gomez and Brayden Huffine get their certificates in a short ceremony Thursday afternoon. All three were praised for their hard work, their positive attitudes and improved work in the classroom.

History was made at West Noble Wednesday evening. It wasn't quite the backdrop of Notre Dame Stadium under a sunny September sky, but Charger Field and West Noble Unified Track and Field hosted its first-ever Unified meet, welcoming in Wawasee for the historic dual.
Wawasee would win four of the five events to secure a 98-81 win, but as the rain began the drive sideways as the final 4x100 relay runners came home, it was a site to see as West Noble has now hosted a Unified sporting event.
Top times for West Noble included Dominic Miller in the 100 dash (15.99) and in long jump (8-7), Riley Barth in the 400 dash (1:34.07), Lilyen Lindsay in the shot put (19-7.5), and the Charger 4x100 relay won with a time of 1:11.88.

West Noble Middle School continued to celebrate its success in the classroom as 19 individuals who passed their WIDA tests were rewarded with a pizza party this afternoon.
Each of the students were able to bring a friend to the party, which was held to highlight a 5.0 overall proficiency of the WIDA testing, which began in late January. Typically taking 5-7 years to master, these students were primarily fifth graders and were a touch ahead of schedule per EL Instructor Danielle Long. All of the students tested at or above levels which cover all content areas in all forums.
Very well done, we are proud of our latest WIDA success students!

Piggybacking on a post we had up yesterday, West Noble Middle School also traveled to Fort Wayne last week for their Charger Reading Challenge reward, and we have the group photo ready to share! Three dozen students from WNMS earned the trip, which was sponsored in part by the United Way. We thank them for their continued support of our students, and congratulate our young readers on their persistence.

Having absolutely no idea of what to expect, and really, nothing to lose, Xavier Viera traveled to Orlando, Florida, earlier this month to take part in the BPA Nationals. A very quiet kid nearly made a lot of noise in his series' of competitions. Find out how he did, and the confidence it brought to our WNHS senior here:

It's still a long drive to Angola. Might as well be like the girls and win some hardware. Maybe a team title!
Let's go Charger track and field!
