West Noble Primary hit the streets of Ligonier this afternoon for its annual Kindness Parade. Working up Main Street to Union Street and back to the school grounds, the entire school celebrated a great school year filled with values, respect and, of course, kindness.
Great seeing people lining the roads for our kids, and our kids enjoying their big parade!

We pause to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Posting a quick photo gallery this afternoon showcasing the fun our West Noble Primary kids had at their Field Days! The kindergarteners had theirs last Friday, and the first graders were out at the football field this afternoon for their turn. The kids had all sorts of stations to work with, including long jump, potato sack races, tug-of-war, and the wild water gun station.
Super fun way to wind down the school year!

The West Noble FFA got to show off a little this morning as the club hosted the West Noble Primary kids for a petting zoo. Easily one of the most entertaining days of the year for the FFA, they had out guinea pigs, rabbits, roosters, goats and cows for the little ones to interact with, as well as some planting and machinery opportunities. They even had a giant John Deere tractor in the lot for the kids to climb around!
May's Spotlight On Success for West Noble revolves around the literacy cadre and how our students are advancing through its teaching. The biggest pull from the two-year adaption of these principles from the IDOE to our West Noble students was an increase of IRead scores by 16 percent, as well as a unilateral K-4 adjustment in common language and shared expectations!
Kudos to our staff in these improvements as we continue to create an environment at West Noble as a great place to learn and grow!

The West Noble FFA is pleased to announce that it will have its greenhouse open to the public this week!
The facility, located behind West Noble High School adjacent to the football parking lot, will be open 3:30-5 p.m. daily until all the plants are gone. There's a big variety of items to peruse, from hanging baskets to impatients, daisies to salvia, and a host of different types of herbs, mints and vegetables.
Come on out and spruce up your landscape or kitchen table, and help our FFA program in the process!

This week was National Teacher's Week. Our gratitude for their care, knowledge, leadership, sacrifice, dedication...the list goes on and on. We love our teachers and all they do for the West Noble community, in and out of the classroom!
Thank you teachers!
Thank you teachers!

The power stayed on this time, at least for most of the show!
After having to reschedule due to a town-wide power outage last week, the first graders at West Noble Primary got their first grade graduation in earlier this evening. A handful of songs included 'Months of the Year' and 'This Little Light of Mine' sung via candlelight under a cloak of darkness. The final song of the night was a localized remix of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin' with a West Noble Primary special touch.
Each of the eight classes were able to be announced as they walked across the stage, everyone posing for a moment with their teacher in both the early and late sessions.
Congrats to our first graders as they start their prep to the elementary next year!

Some of the real heroes of our school district are in the nurse's offices, caring for and helping 'nurse' our kids back to health!
We thank our nurses for all of their care, patience and willingness to do some of the true dirty work in our schools!

Cinco de Mayo is a special holiday at West Noble schools, and today we celebrated in style. Just at the Primary alone, they had pinatas, paletas and a special taco buffet. Each of the buildings had their own versions of celebration, one which the West Noble community continues to share and embrace!

Many years ago, I learned that 'free food is good food'. So today, I am paying it forward for a year's worth of freebies. Take a read on my first-person experience in the chair at the Fairfield Cosmetology Department as a year-long client of West Noble High School senior Melissa Ledesma. She and several of her classmates have been serving the public all school year, and should at least get consideration for you to join them next year!

They are the super heroes who don't wear capes. We salute our School Lunch Super Heroes at our West Noble Schools, thank you for all you do for our students and staffs!

WN Primary Parents and WN Staff: Due to an accident near Ligonier, power was lost at the Primary building around 1:30 PM. This was about 30 minutes before students lined up for dismissal and buses were already in route to the school. There was enough natural light and water pressure to finish out the school day and send students home at the normal time. However, since we do not know when power will be restored, we are cancelling the first grade graduation program that was scheduled for this evening. I assume we will reschedule that at a later date.

Because of the power outage in Ligonier this afternoon, the West Noble Primary first grade program has been postponed. We will have a new date for the program ASAP.

Two of West Noble High School's IMPACT students earned state medals, one of which is going to the SkillsUSA Nationals!

It's been a super fun year for West Noble Primary's Kinderwoods crew, and they shared some of their joy with a very nice-sized crowd Tuesday at the base camp at the Owen House.
The kindergarten classes, taught by Amanda Custer and Isaac Weimer, put together a five-song concert which included the all-time favorites 'I'm Being Eaten By A Boa Constrictor' and 'Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah'.
As per usual this spring, rain shortened the evening as the heavy clouds snuffed out some of the s'mores after party, but this crew of kindergarteners and teachers have been in the elements all school year. No big deal! Bravo to the huge audience for supporting these kids and this unique program for West Noble, and bravo to the kids for their show performance and grit this school year!
